Choosing Siding Products that are Right for Your Home

Our Siding Installation Process

1. 1 Your New Siding Materials Arrive

   The day that your project begins the siding project you have chosen will be dropped off at your home. A dumpster will also be dropped off to collect old siding materials as they are removed.

2. 2 We Protect Your Property and then Remove Your Old Siding

   After carefully laying out tarps and building temporary protective structures over fragile plants, flower beds, and other sensitive areas our workers will begin removing the old siding.

3. 3 We Inspect Your Wall Sheathing

   Once all the old siding is torn off, we will carefully inspect your wall sheathing for signs of rot or improper installation. We will make repairs or replace the wall sheathing as necessary before continuing.

4. 4 We Install the Vapor Barrier

   After making sure the wall sheathing is up to our standards, we will install the vapor barrier to block moisture from entering your home.

5. 5 Your New Siding is Installed

   We then install the soffit and fascia pieces, siding panels, and trim.

6. 6 We Clean Up Your Property

   Once all work is completed on your home’s exterior, the final cleanup begins. We do a thorough visual inspection for debris and perform magnetic sweeps to pick up stray nails.

7. 7 Your Project Manager Does a Final Inspection

   After your project has been completed, your HWC Project Manager will carefully inspect the entire project from the starter to the top row, to ensure it meets our strict standards.

Siding Hail Damage & Storm Repair

 The severity of storm damage to your siding depends on the size of the hail and the speed of the wind.  Wind driven hail can cause vinyl siding to crack and chip and metal siding to dent.  It can also cause the paint to chip off of wood and fiber-cement siding products, leaving them exposed to rot and premature aging.  A Storm Damage Assessment is important after severe weather in order to spot potential problems.  We are happy to work with your insurance company to maximize your claim and keep your stress to a minimum.
