I interviewed 5 different construction companies for our full house residing job. We met with Jason and he answered all my questions and concerns and gave me a very detailed bid so I knew exactly what I was paying for. We began the project and I started working with Tim the project manager and he was also a great guy to work with. I read every review online about Hoffman Weber and felt fully aware of any concerns to be expected. My house is completed and I can honestly say I would not have changed anything. We stayed within budget, my house looks amazing, and the company overall did a great job.

Hoffman Weber re-sided our house in August, 2019 and we are very pleased with the outcome. Joe Wire was our sales contact who patiently worked with us as we made decisions during the planning stage. Joe is thoroughly professional, friendly, extremely detailed (you will know exactly what you owe before the final bill comes) and a good listener. Joe and the office crew kept us apprised of materials delivery and dumpster install and removal. John did the installation. I was a little surprised to have a lone installer complete the entire job, but John did a great job. His workmanship is outstanding and any little thing I mentioned, he took care of. The property was totally cleaned up before he left and he finished the job within the original estimated time. We happily recommend Joe, John and Hoffman Weber Construction for your home-siding needs.

Our experience with Hoffman Weber installing siding, windows and gutters couldn’t have been better. Keyth’s design for our home was great! He answered all of our questions and checked in with us when the project was done. Brian, our project manager made sure everything went smoothly. The work crew was prompt, neat, and polite.

I had a great experience with this company from beginning to end. They explained everything, answered questions and helped solve every issue. I chose the James Hardie product for it’s high quality and for the finished look. Joe explained the choices of products but I chose the James Hardie. It is worth every penny to end up with such a maintenance free, great looking house. B I highly recommend Hoffman and Weber. They are so easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable, problem solvers and I know they really cared about my project from beginning to end. Thank you for all the expert work. I have already had lots of compliments on my house.

Our 1921 house on Saint Clair Ave was an outlier in the neighborhood when we moved in, for all the wrong reasons. Now it's an outlier for all the right reasons. With Jason's help and artistic flair, we decided to use Hardie siding in the color Countrylane Red, with Arctic White trim. But we chose Birch Bark for the shake siding up on top, with a jut-out supported by corbels. We're happy. Our new neighbors are ecstatic. And passersby on Saint Clair stop to tell us how impressed they are. We really couldn't be happier with the job Hoffman Weber did for us, and we very sincerely hope those who read this review consider them for their project. Thanks.

Hoffman Weber installs James Hardie fiber cement siding.
James Hardie is the oldest and most respected manufacturer of fiber cement siding. We trust it will perform as advertised. It has been installed on more than 8 million homes.
James Hardie siding is available in lap, shingle and vertical panels. Lap siding comes in smooth or woodgrain (Cedarmill) and Beaded Cedarmill (woodgrain with a radiused detail along the lower edge of each plank). Shingles are available in staggered and straight edge panels. Vertical panels come in Cedarmill (woodgrain), stucco, Sierra 8 (woodgrain with vertical grooves to resemble T1-11 plywood), and smooth.
The installed price for James Hardie siding typically is comparable to engineered wood siding, more expensive than vinyl siding and less expensive than brick or synthetic stucco.
James Hardie siding is made in Illinois, Texas, Florida, and New Mexico. Siding installed in Minnesota typically comes from the plant in Peru, IL.
Hardie siding is primed with a 100 percent acrylic primer at the factory. ColorPlus pre-finishing is said to last three to four times longer than on-site paint.
Hardie siding comes pre-primed or finished in any of 23 standard colors, including dark, neutral, warm, cool, light and fresh palettes.
Yes. All Hardie siding products are spray primed on all sides at the factory. Cut edges are sealed during installation.
Hardie siding is installed with corrosion-resistant galvanized nails.
Hardie siding may be nailed to plywood or OSB sheathing or to properly braced (single-wall-construction) wood or steel framing.
Hardie makes a full line of trim for use at soffits, corners, windows, and doors. It also is compatible with wood, engineered wood, coated aluminum, and vinyl trim products.
James Hardie siding is durable and resists damage from insects, woodpeckers, and hail.
The wood fibers reinforce the panels and make them lighter and less brittle. The cement provides resistance to impact, insects, woodpeckers, and fire. It is Class-A fire rated. Early fiber cement products contained asbestos fibers. Cellulose fibers are used now.
No. Hardie siding is impervious to insect damage.
James Hardie siding is impact resistant.
Hardie siding is warrantied against deteriorating when properly installed, primed, finished and maintained. This includes sealing ends cut on the job site and maintaining proper clearances above the landscape, paving, and decking.
James Hardie siding has a 30-year limited lifetime warranty. Prefinished siding carries a 15-year warranty.
You should have no trouble matching the color, texture or profile of your James Hardie product.
James Hardie siding may be installed at any temperature but it should be stored in a warm, protected area so it does not become overly brittle.
In construction, windows are installed before the siding. While replacement windows can be installed after construction, it is preferable to replace windows before installing the new siding for maximum sealing.
James Hardie recommends a mild soap solution and a soft brush to clean siding. It recommends against power washing.
Siding will be cut outdoors using power tools equipped with dust collection.
Midwesterners don’t have to choose between high-quality curb appeal, low maintenance, and durability when choosing new siding for their homes and businesses.
